About The Center

     The Center for the Study of Non-Symbolic Consciousness is dedicated to academic inquiry into non-symbolic perception and cognition. Broadly speaking, non-symbolic consciousness includes the following concepts, and several others:

     Many distinguished researchers from diverse fields have contributed to the overall literature in this area. The center's goal is to unite all of these independent research threads and to continue to conduct and support ongoing research in this area.

The center works to:

 
  • Provide a central clearinghouse for research, study designs, advance findings, and so forth for non-symbolic research world-wide
  • Create a comprehensive, open access index of studies
  • Create a comprehensive, open access index of paradigms and theories
  • Provide visibility for research
  • Assist with matching researchers for collaboration
  • Provide opportunities for true peer review
  • Assist with finding available resources (such as instruments and apparatus)
  • Documentation and exchange of methods
  • Foster replication
  • Constantly reach out to researchers with an interest in these areas and add them to our database.
  • Constantly reach out to potential qualified participants and add them to our database
  • Evaluate studies for collaboration
  • Make our research participant pool available to qualified studies
  • Organize collaborative events
